If you are feeling winter’s seemingly never ending death grip at this point my advice to you is this: go outside and walk through a dogwood forest.
Dogwood is like the person who sends out a peel of laughter in a library. It never got the memo to quiet down over winter. While the much of Manitoba is reduced to greyscale, dogwood stands out as this beacon of colour in the woods.
Manitoba will not always be cold, grey and elegant–thank goodness for renegade plants like dogwood to remind us that nature will once again be colourful, noisy and extravagant.
