Toy Stories: Wooden Blocks

On Tuesday I bring you a story behind a toy from my art room. I got the idea for these in the summer of 2013, but after carving the first letters I realized it was way more work than I anticipated. I did not complete a set until the next summer. Ultimately these are much more work than what they can retail for–always a sign of a good toy.

Handmade wooden blocks for creative children and children at heart. All up-cycled materials. Letters and numbers are linocuts. Cloth from ArtJunction in Winnipeg. Chalk and stamps individually rescued from the craft baskets at the thrift store.
