Manitoba Museum

I took a stroll through the Manitoba Museum on Tuesday.  Last time I was there I spent a long time with the rocks and fossils, so this time I went straight to The Hudson Bay Company exhibit.  I really had no idea just how much business was fundamental to the development of Canada.  But there you go: at one point Canada was all about furs, trading posts and exploration.

Or at least, that is how the story is told.  There are two sides to this story, of course.  But what about other narratives?  I will have to dig deeper.

In the mean time, here are some pictures… the lighting was horrible, so I resorted to flash.  bleh.
