Ode to a Dandelion

I love dandelions.  Not only to they grant you wishes, but they are a plant with many uses, making medicinal teas, salads and wine.  They are also soil savers.  When the soil has been depleted of nutrients from chemical fertilizers, Dandelions will still grow there building back and supporting the networks of microbes that has been lost.  They are amazing.

Yesterday I looking for some sewing supplies at the Thrift Shop (This is really the thrift shop blog week, isn’t it?) and someone had discarded their Dandelion picture in the pattern section.  I swiped it and took it home.

I will find it a nice spot on a wall.
