Marooned in the Trees

In celebration of our first anniversary we returned to Inverness Falls this weekend.  A lovely place.  As I was walking back to the cabin I was caught by the sight of this boat, beautiful in its decay.  I rushed back to the cabin, grabbed the camera and took a few shots.

It is funny the feeling of urgency I get when I see something I need to take a picture of.  I am not sure what I am afraid of…  The image disappearing?   Or maybe the urgency if from the reality that the earth moves and thus the light changes.  When I see a potential photograph I also feel the race to explore the angles and settings on the camera so that I catch the image before it the picture changes.

Anyway, even if I don’t move fast enough I usually catch something.  Here is what I caught.
