It is a great treat to work with other artists. Yesterday, around the time of The Afternoon Slump, one of my co-workers, Rain, came to my desk announcing that she had just completed her first piece of digital art:
She showed me a bit about how the program works and we promptly printed out a few copies of it. Before the end of the day I had a lovely original digital piece of art, signed matted and dated to take home.
As I biked home, I reflected on how refreshing it is when art becomes part of daily life. Everyone has their own aesthetic expressions and particular ways of seeing the world. Creativity and art is one of those things that is life giving and it is wonderful to have creative people in one’s life. I feel the need to not just dialogue with words, but also with image and sound. I grow as I engage these worlds, and I hope that those who engage my worlds of creative ideas also grow.
Rain does not have a blog, but she does have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LooksLikeRainArtisticExpressions?ref=ts&fref=ts
