Caught but not Caged

I never thought I would be able to take pictures of birds.  They are elusive, small (ish.. sometimes… usually.  At least in small towns where I take pictures).  A photography nightmare.

At least for amateurs, like moi.

Having a decent camera has allowed me to begin to photograph birds.

I love it.

Not only can I actually see what they look like, I can watch them with their little movements.

They are delightful.

Like cats (always my frame of reference) they have a range of expressions, behaviours and habits that belong to each of their breeds.  …is it a “breed” of bird?

Perhaps this is the beginning of my road to becoming an avid bird watcher in my retirement…

Perhaps there is a way to train my cat not to hunt them but to merely observe them…

I should probably let go of that idea right now…
