Beausejour Museum

This weekend I spent some time in the Beausejour MuseumI love museums in general, but I love visiting small museums particularly.

In small town museums the history is almost tangible.

Collections are donated by people I know, or if not, people who still live in the area.   I come away from the experience feeling like I walked through time. And while I love this era, particularly as a woman, I long for a slower life, sustainable consumption of material, and a different community model, not based on sales and competition.

I suppose going to a museum puts my life in this moment in time in perspective.  I am reminded that the way I live now is not how it will always be.

And that brings me hope.
